Wilson Themba Tshabalala better Known as Shakespear or Papi Chulo is a South African recording artist, song writer, music producer, sound engineer, artist manager and music business consultant. Shakespear first gained prominence as a producer on Shimmy’s mixtape in (2008/2009) witch landed him his first pay cheque and recognition from rappers and producers around Soweto as well as singles for One Way, Ma-azo, Off The Wall Deep, Farmr, Dominique and Mr Sam and projects Shakespear was a part of such as the self-titled album E4 (2011 till 2012) and the Duet Sparzito and Shakespear

releasing 4 mixtapes (2012 till 2013). His style of production includes trap, southern hip hop influenced by American southern based producers incorporated with sampling nearly any genre of music incorporating his own drums and instruments. He later broadened his influences like Kanye West, No I.D, Noah 40 and Just Blaze.

Shakespear attended Glenvista High School in 2001 where his interest in rapping began but started out as a beat boxer for his classmates and other rappers at school. After failing grade 9 (2002) he dropped out in 2003 to pursue music entirely attending Park Town College (2004) where he befriended Drew (from 985) and the two became close friends rapping and battling each other than after not allowed to continue with his sound engineering course he attended Denver Technical College (2005) where he received his N4 certificate. In 2006 he decided not to pursue his studies and focused on production more than rapping by 2008 he recalls making his first professional beat by 2009 he became interested in the business side of music after being fed up with musicians, managers and A & R’s taking advantage of him. He’s performed several times at cool running’s, ZAR and the group E4 he was a part of being the opening act at the Spar woman’s walk in centurion in front of 25000 + people. Shakespear runs his own label ImraanShakespear abbreviated (I S Muzic) alongside his friend and partner Imraan “Imo”. In 2016 Shakespear released 2 projects under there label ImraanShakespear (I.S Muzic) the 1st was his solo album “Against All Odds” and a collaboration album “Crazy Collabos” both on iTunes. 01 June 2017 Shakespear released his latest single “The Come Up” which landed him a publishing deal with Yfm Y Magazine and play listed on the KFC Soundbite chart followed by the 2nd single “Hit It Up” released 01 July 2017 taken from his forthcoming EP “011 State of Mind”.
